As the Phone Assistant/Assistant Cashier, the primary focus is courteous customer service and accuracy. One must be polite and positive, greeting customers as they call on the phone or entering the shop. Other duties include assisting the head cashier, upkeep of the shop, and more. Must be able to multi-task, working in a fast-paced environment, and have attention to detail.
As the Ticket Writer, the primary focus is efficient customer service and accuracy. One must be courteous and positive, greeting customers as they enter and at the ready to assist customers with tabulating purchases. The ticket Writer must carefully ensure that each item is accurately counted and that the proper price is written on the ticket. The attention to detail and accuracy in this role is essential for the viability of the business. Familiarity with product pricing is most helpful.
As the Cart Assistant, the primary focus is efficient customer service. One must be courteous and positive, and at the ready to assist customers with their carts from patio area to vehicles. Cart assistant must be careful in loading and handling plant material (eg breaking shrubs while loading; placing in pick up bed to consider wind damage in transport; tieing up large tree branches into a bundle,etc.) while also paying attention to care of customers vehicle (eg offer paper or plastic bag to keep dirt off carpet).
As the Delivery Person, the primary focus is efficient and courteous customer service. One must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work well with others. The Delivery Person must interact well with customers. A clean driving record and experience driving a pick-up with trailer (17’) is required. When not making deliveries, other responsibilities will include unloading trucks, stocking plants, and assisting customers as needed. Delivery Person should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
